I Have A Question.

I have a question for you.  What do you do with your pattern after you finish a project?  Do you keep it?  Toss it?  Give it away?  Hold on to it, in case you want to make it again?  I know I won't make it again, so why do I hold onto the pattern?

I've been going through some of my magazines and free patterns I have printed off.  Some I have tossed as I know the desire to make a quilt or project like that has dissipated.  But others, I haven't.  I've also noticed a trend with some of the patterns.  Some start to look alike.  I'm taking that as a sign to make a quilt similar to that.

Some free patterns or patterns found in a magazine I take to my stash and pull fabrics to get that quilt started.  Such was the case with this pattern I found while going through some old magazines.  Here is the pattern, "Harley & Howie's Gang" by Tony Jacobson. And the fabric. It was in a Fons & Porter's Easy Quilts magazine from Spring 2014.  I just need the background fabric.  Will check further into my stash and see if I have something that will work.  Otherwise, next shop hop I know what to buy.

What Was I Thinking?

What was I thinking?  I saved these little corners from the all the blocks I've been making for Texas Tumbleweeds.  Look at this!

It's a small bin, but there are a ton of trims in there and I'm not even done with all the blocks.  It looks overwhelming, if I was going to make HST with them.  But wait, I was thinking I wanted to make a few "Wild and Goosey" blocks.  It will be OK, right?  Bonnie said to do this so.....

Friends Helping Friends

I love that other bloggers are friends helping friends.  With changes made by Google to help us meet the requirements of the European Union Laws, I lost the ability to receive emails to my account letting me know I had a comment on my blog.

But Jeanna at Slammin' the Screen Door helped so many of us.  If you blog through Blogger, this may help you with your comments dilemma.  Thank you Jeanna!  It worked with my own email, but am wondering if I will for sure receive notification. Time will tell.

I'm still sewing and pressing the blocks I prepped last Wednesday.  I even have replaced the 12 blocks I prepped with the slant going the wrong way.   Been working at sorting a couple of bags of strings I have into the 3 drawer bin.  Hope to have all the stings contained someday!

So Much

There has been so much going on the last 2 weeks.  First off was my trip to Missouri.  This past Tuesday some friends and I did our region of the All Iowa Shop Hop.  Picked up some of the great fabrics and had lots of laughs.

Wise Monkey Quilting has this great frame for taking pictures.

The other evening and afternoon, I spent time prepping my Texas Tumbleweeds blocks for sewing.  Great project for in front of the TV or while watching a movie.

Pinned

Sewn and pressed.

Bonnie suggested putting the cut off corners in a bin and sew them as a leader/ender or use for the making of "Wild 'n Goosey" blocks.  One of those "Someday quilts".

True Friend

Jesse is a true friend!  She knows what a Bonnie Hunter fan I am. Bonnie came and did a presentation and 2 workshops for her Guild.   Guess what?  I got to go to all of them!!  Some of these pictures are from Bonnie's blog.  Check out the whole story here, here and here.

Me on the left, Jesse on the right.

We had such a wonderful time.  And I hope Bonnie loves the t-shirt Jesse designed for all of us to wear that day.

More on our projects later.

All The Rows

All the rows are together!  I always love seeing the finished top.

And try as I will, I still have like fabrics by like fabrics.  I'm just accepting that is the nature of scrappy quilts!

Rows!

I'm getting some rows together for my Lozenges quilt!  Check it out.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the rows together.

Hard

This blogging stuff is getting hard.  There was a new law past and I'm still wrapping my brain around it.  I write this blog mainly for my own pleasure, kind of a dairy, if you will, of my projects.  It helps me keep track of things I have finished, when I started them, and has it really been that long ago that I made that?.

So this post will be about things I need to share.

I don't have cookies that I know of.  At least I haven't put them there.  And if there are cookies, I wasn't asked if the third party could place them.  My understanding is you can turn them off in your browser settings.

I am to advise you of my Privacy Policy, which is I will not knowingly share your information.

I will not store your information unless you give me it to contact you later. I do have a place on my blog that you can follow by email.  But you put your information in, I don't add it.  And I don't use those emails for anything other than it's intended purpose, to let you know I have Posted something new.

I do add links to other blogs or companies when giving credit for a pattern or something else.  I want you to know where I got the idea.

Guess that's about it for the moment.  Thanks for reading about the changes as a result of the new law. There are some blogs I follow that I haven't seen any notice about the law and others that have a very long Posts about it.  I guess I will find out.
