Not On The Project List

I finished a quilt that is not on the Project List.  An extra quilt that is complete and ready to live in it's forever home.

It's all quilted, bound, and labeled.  Ready to go!  I am giving this quilt to a friend who keeps bees.  She said something about using it for a fund raiser, but even if she keeps it for herself, I'm ok with that.  Hope she enjoys it.

Update On Week 24

Update on Week 24 of Project 52, this is a slow project.  It is two layer cakes of Deb Strain fabric, "Be Joyful".  The pattern is called "Jump Ring" from MSQC's book Block Volume 1 Issue 4.

I sewed on this for 2 days at Retreat and for most of yesterday.  I still have a bunch more blocks to make. Granted I used 2 layer cakes because I want to make the quilt King size and the pattern didn't have information on that size, it only had Queen size.  I'm still sewing blocks.  I want to get some of these bigger quilts done.

Week 16 Of Project 52

Week 16 of Project 52 is also complete!

These bag are so much fun to make.  I bet I could kit up a bunch more, but for now I'm going to concentrate on Project 52.

Week 27 Of Project 52

Week 27 of Project 52 is complete!  It's the "So Easy"Twist" Bag pattern..

I love the focus fabric.  I did gift this bag to a friend who has a greenhouse and has a table at a local Farmer's Market.

Week 21 Of Project 52

Week 21 of Project 52 has reached the finished line.  The bindings are all sewn down and they are done!  The pattern is called "Through the Looking Glass" by It's Sew Emma.

So exciting to have these 2 projects done even though they counted as only one.

I did a little more cleaning out.  I came across these old Stretch and Sew patterns of my mother's.  She was such an amazing seamstress!  I thought I might try to use one of these patterns one day,  but I just don't enjoy making clothes like I use to.  I'd rather make quilts.  My sister feels the same way about making clothes, so off to the Guild garage sale they will go.

Hello!

Hello!  I'm back from my little catch up break.  I wish I could say I completed tons of projects, but most of what I have been doing has been outside.  My garden is looking great and the flowering bushes have been beautiful.

Crab Apple tree

Flowering Quince

Vinca and daffodils

Daffodil.  (a little dirty from the rain)

Sewing will resume and projects will be completed!
