Summer Time

Spent the day catching up.  Went out early to the garden before the heat got too bad.  I picked green beans and weeded the row of beans while I picked.  We also put in a new strawberry patch this spring and it needed some weeding, so I got that done.

Came back in to clean up and do some more laundry and then I hit the sewing room!  Finished 10 more string blocks and I have another row of my "Turning Twenty" quilt done.

Made a fresh tomato sauce over pasta for dinner tonight, with the tomatoes, basil and garlic from our garden.  What a great summer meal!

You have tomatoes? I am so jealous! Mine are looking good, but no red ones yet. Enjoy!

Yum! Your tomato sauce sounds good! I realize you missed most of our worst heat, but it actually felt nice to go outside compared to last week!

Nothing beats fresh stuff from the garden. We have tomatoes, beans, peppers and cucumbers growing. I hear you about the heat, the past three days have been really great here after 10 days of disgusting; Thanks for stopping by my blog!
