My Stitching
This is for Cathy, just wanted to show you the pre-printed panel I'm stitching. I have 2 shades of green and 2 shades of a pink/salmon that I'm working with. I also have some batting on the back of the section I'm currently working on. I'll do that with each section and when I'm ready to sandwich the quilt, the embroidered area will look a little padded. Not really a true trapunto, but kind of close.
I also have half or 8 of my strips sewn together for my king-size quilt.

Hi Karen! What kind of batting do you use? Warm and natural? Or do you use a thinner batting? I started my pre-print like that and got side tracked by it. I forgot about using the batting. I remember how much nicer that looked on that embroidered quilt tops. I mights unsew what I've done (which isn't much...) and add the batting.
I'm not sure if it's a Hobbs 80/20 or not, but for some reason, that sticks in my head. I was going to see if I could find some more in my stash as I have batting on only one. Why I couldn't have cut for all and put together a kit remains a mystery. Although, I think that now, I'm getting more organized than I use to be.
Thanks! I will look for some for me!! And I do think you are more organized than you were. I have the organized ideas...but am working on the implementation...
