Good Morning!

Good Morning!  It's sunny this morning and going to be a warmer day.  Spring feels like it may come.  My daffodils are popping up and I am looking forward to their lovely yellow blooms.

But in the meantime, I have this lovely top finished.  I'm excited by the Spring look of it.

The pattern is called "Walk In The Park" by V and Co.  You can click on the name and it will take you to V and Co website.  Robin at Log Cabin Quilt Shop in Elkhorn, Iowa put the kit together for me.  The background is a white grunge and the flowers are Ombre Confetti Metallic also by V and Co.

Now to decide on backing.  I was thinking pink minky, but that maybe too warm for a Spring quilt.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Quilting In My Head

Do you ever do "Quilting In My Head"?  You think of a project and go through all the steps in your head to create that project.  As you do it, you think "That shouldn't take too long!".  Hahaha   That's me.  Started the project and here I am still working on it.  I hope to be able to show it to you soon.

In the meantime I have been doing these blocks from "Walk In The Park" as leaders/enders:

I love how the Ombre fabrics make the blocks look just a little different from each other.  At least I feel like something is being accomplished!

A Little Progress On This Project

A little progress on this project, "Walk In The Park" by V & CO.  I have all the big flower blocks and the leaf blocks completed.  I have been working on the little flower blocks.

The blocks do take some time as there are 51 pieces in each block.  I have each block bagged up ready to sew and I love seeing each one completed.

I'm also working on another project that is taking way longer than I thought it would, but I hope to be able to show it to you soon.

Enough Already!

I keep thinking about my New Year's Resolution, enough already!  Right?  Keep it simple.  One of my biggest "problems" are backings and quilting my tops.  So I'm going to make a backing a month for one of my tops.  The goal is to get these tops closer to the finish line.  So I promise, this is my last post on New Year's Resolutions.  Thanks for reading as I "think out loud" about what I want to do.

I have been working on "Walk In The Park" by V and Co.

I have the big pink flowers completed and am working on the leaves.  I'm also in the process of bagging up the small flower blocks.  Lots of little pieces for that block.  I've been working on this as a leader/ender as I work on Grassy Creek Mystery Quilt.  The background in the kit I bought has a whitish/gray grunge, so it's a little different.
