Week 21 of Project 52 brings me to this cute little quilt kit I made up when I fell in love with some Gnome fabric. The Project will use a pattern called "Through the Looking Glass" designed by Sarah Price. You can find it here if you are interested.

Sampler Class
We had our last night of Sampler Class this week and I finished my quilt top.
I usually wait to post tops as I want to get them to the finish line first. Hope to get this one there soon, but I need a backing for it. I need to spend some time with my stash and see what I can come up with. I have a few ideas in mind.

And I also did the faux piping.
If you are interested in this pattern, you can find it here at Jean's Etsy shop. It was really fun to make!

Week 20 Of Project 52
I trimmed them down to 6.5 inch squares and have added a sashing on one side. The quilt will be based on this pattern: "Hide and Seek" by Jessica Darling for Villa Rosa Designs.
But I don't have 30 squares nor do I have 20 squares. And that's why this project stopped. We'll see what I can figure out to get this quilt to the finish line.

Week 19 Of Project 52
Week 19 of Project 52 is done! I'm getting a few things done which helps to keep me going! Here is Week 19 Project, the Boxy Quilted pouch in little Fairy fabric.
In addition, our Quilt Guild is doing a Block Lotto every month. Last month I made these blocks with a theme of red and pink.
And these are the blocks I made yesterday for the March Block Lotto. The theme for this month is Polka Dot.
The blocks are really fun and easy to make. It uses a five inch square for the center and the block is called a "polaroid" block. If you are interested in making your own blocks, here is a free tutorial I found online by Melissa Mortenson at Polkadot Chair blog.
Hope you have fun making your own blocks!

Squirrel!
For some reason as I was quilting my pouches, it hit me. SQUIRREL! The desire to go through my patterns that I have cut out of magazines and printed off the Internet.
So that's mainly what I did on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I couldn't believe how many patterns I have pulled from magazines over the years. (About 20 some years worth.) I did noticed that there was a theme going on with some of the patterns. If there were lots of that same design, it must be one I could add to my "make it" pile. If it was close to something I had made before, the pattern was added to the "get rid of" pile.
This cleaning out was something that needed to be done, but it did take me away from Project 52. So today, I need to get back to Project 52.

Not Much Sewing
Not much sewing has happened the last couple of days. I've been doing a little sorting and cleaning in my sewing room. Things have gotten stacked up like they always do when I'm working on projects, so a little cleaning needed to happen. I have scraps that need cutting up to size and fabric that needs to get put back in the proper bin.
Wednesday I did get "Sadie's Stash" quilt top pin basted. I also pin basted "Pam's Garden" and got it all quilted. It's ready for the binding so that is on today's list along with working on a "Twist" bag. And maybe a boxy pouch bag. We'll see what happens.
