Rag Quilt

I'm working on a rag quilt that I had bought fabric for around 2004 as that's the date on the salvage of one of the fabrics.  I had made a bunch of frankenbatting.

Nice to use up some batting pieces this way.  You know the old adage of our grandparents, "Use it up, Wear it out, Make it do and Do without."  I also like to add recycle or upcycle.  I like that this batting isn't going to waste or the landfill.

And here are my blocks all layered, pinned and ready to sew.

Yes, it is a king size quilt as that's the size bed we have.  I still like the colors even if they are somewhat dated.  Most of all, it will be a nice warm quilt for the bed next winter.  And that's what matters most to me.

Hope you are all well and safe.
