November Block

My First Finish For 2025

 My first finish for 2025, TaDa!

The pattern is called "Hello, Garden" and was designed by Cherri House for Fons & Porter Easy Quilts, Fall of 2012.  The pattern uses a jelly roll and it was the first jelly roll I bought in person at Missouri Star Quilt Company many years ago.  I wished I had kept the tag that showed what fabric line it was along with who designed the fabric, it's one of my favorite color combos.  I love the way it turned out! 

"Catholes" by Sew Fresh Quilts

When Lorna came out with this pattern, I knew I had to make it.  "Catholes" by Sew Fresh Quilts.   It just made me laugh out loud!   I got it finished and it has been gifted.  And it was a success!

I used gray Cuddle minky for the back, which is so soft, just like cat fur.  Took me a while to figure out to organize it, but I finally went with a block at a time.  Otherwise I got pieces confused.   I used cotton fabrics I have been buying for years because they reminded me of cat fur.  And it took some time to find the background fabric.  It's called "Plaster of Paris" by Stephanie Brandenburg/Frond Design Studios.
