I hope everyone is having a great day, Happy Mother's Day!
This has been such a productive weekend. I finished the backing for the graduation quilt, made the binding and all that's left is to get the zippers on so I can quilt it tomorrow!
Yesterday was quilt day and, as always, a wonderful day. I pinned two quilts so I could quilt them at home with my Bernina and worked on another one that I had started a couple of years ago. What happened with that one, I messed up the solid blocks and cut them too small. So I had to cut down the pieced blocks so it would work. Since I didn't want to leave my screw up for someone else, I took it home. And there it sat in the closet. That seems to be one way UFOs are born in my house.
Once I took the pieces out, it didn't take me long to figure out what to do and I fixed the problem. I just cut down the pieced blocks it an area where it wouldn't be notice. It's just about all sewn together and it looks fine.
Today I worked in the garden. I found an idea on Pinterest of using wine bottles to create a border. So saved wine bottles for about a year and I built the border.
I left the labels on as they will be buried in the dirt. Look at all the weeds! Once we get the rose bush planted, I'll weed and mulch. I'm even thinking a little Preen may be in order.
The row is done. The can is where the rose bush is going to be planted. I'll take another picture when I get the rose bush and mulch done.
