More Masks

More masks were in the making last weekend and at the beginning of the week.  These are going to be given away at a fund raiser.

The friend that I had made the other masks for, needed some to give away at a fund raiser.  She brought over the fabric and elastic all ready to be sewn.  So it didn't take long to get them all done.
It feels good to be able to help out.

Dirty Dozen

The Dirty Dozen has gotten behind with the making of masks and other projects.  Time to get back on track!

And this weekend I did!  I had a free pattern and fabrics I bought up on the "Great Fall Escape" bus trip.  The pattern came from Pieceworks quilt hop in Winterset, Iowa.

I had bought up 2 mini charm packs of "Halloweenie" by Robin Kingsley for Maywood Studio and when we got this pattern I bought the background fabric which is "Fragile" by Zen Chic for Moda.

The backing fabric from the stash, old Halloween fabric from JoAnns.

This was the March 2020 project for the Dirty Dozen, so glad it has made it to the finish line!

Soon

Soon I hope to have this king-size flannel rag quilt completed.  I've sewn the edges/borders together and have them all clipped.

Next step is clear off the dining room table so I can attach the edges/borders.  Moving right along!

Rag Quilt

More progress was made on the king size flannel rag quilt, but no pictures yet.  I have the last section of big nine patches sewn to the bottom of the quilt.  This is how it looked before:

Now to add all the miscellaneous blocks.  So happy to have this one so far along.

How Are You?

How are you?  Are you doing well with all that is going on around you?  I hope you are safe.

I am working on a flannel rag quilt that I have had the fabric for since around 2004.  I've been clipping the seams as I go so I don't have a big job of clipping to do.  A great tip from a friend and it is working well.

These are nine patches of a big nine patch.  I have another row of 3 nine patches to add to the quilt.  But the clipping is done on this so far.  So much easier.

I love bird watching and we have been getting Baltimore Orioles to the feeder.

Hope you stay well and safe during these days of the Corona Virus.
