Samples

Starts like this....

.....ends up like this.
I am storing the bin of Christmas fabric at my house for "Quilts From the Bluffs"  quilt ministry, so I've been trying to come up with a pattern to use the fabric. And I want it to be fast and easy.  So I started playing with the disappearing 9 patch.  I used 8 inch blocks and it almost looks like a "Turning Twenty" block when it's done.  I figure 2 blocks across and three blocks down will give a nice size baby quilt.

I have a little tutorial here if you think you'd like to try it out.  I know there are loads of tutorials out on the web too.  It's really easy and fast.

Funny you should post about Christmas! This week I started working on my Pinecone Christmas ornaments. Love how your block turned out :)

Isn't the disappearing 9 patch fun? For Michael's I chose a constant color for the center block of the 9 patch...I really like how that version comes out.

It is never to early to start Christmas project. When it gets close to Christmas and you don't have all of them done you say to yourself....Why didn't I start sooner!

Love your perky block!

Christmas in July!
